Another block feature in WordPress

The all new update of WordPress, which has been introduced on 11th August, 2020 i.e WordPress 5.5 is compact with many extra features than the last version. As in a built-in XML sitemap is included. We will discuss about it later.

Though in today’s article we will discuss over another important feature called Pattern, which is very unique and usable feature for WordPress when you will make a post or page on WordPress.

Where to use WP Pattern

Firstly, when you will enter in the website by log into the dashboard to make a post or page, in the left side menu bar you will get the first option called Post, Click on the Add new Post to create a post. You can create page also similarly. You can use patterns both in post and pages. The method will be clear by the below attached image.

Feature Pattern

At post or page top left side, the first button is called the Add block ,which has been in previous version too. But this time it has been the plus sign (+) in a blue square, previously it was plus sign (+) in a white circle. By clicking the add block button a drop down menu will reveal. Two types of options will show 1. Blocks & 2. Patterns. The entire matter will be clear with the below feature image.

There are a lot of options under changing Patterns . For example you can make as many as columns and add images ,two images can be placed side by side , sometimes putting colors on the post is required, here this option is being included, the background highlighted area of a post. Quotation option will be catchy.
